The five events from 2005 to 2009 have attracted drivers from many countries
and have been social events where people have met, made friends and
experienced competititve racing. Bev and I have put a major effort in to
make these races an event for all, and they have been great. It would not
have been possible to organise these events without the help from many home
racers who have helped out in lending beds to people, cleaning the track
when needed, always asking if something is needed to be done during the
event and so on. The decision in 2006 to ask Andy Wasserman to race control
was an important factor in making the meets with a growing number of entries
possible to manage, run fairly and in time. The 2009 event was for sure the
best one in the organiser's view. 61 + 53 entries - amazing.
However, we feel that is time to go on in life. The race will survive in new
costume and with a new name, Scandinavian Masters, as will the track, in
Danish hands, in Copenhagen.
